Maybe you can have one of your sponsors sue them for hurting their right to use the image. If the image has been doctored to remove another company's logos that paid for the right to be visible, they may have a case, especially if it is running in the same publication. Poorly worded sentence, but hopefully you get my point.

What you need to do is create a windshield banner that says "DYNOMAX SUCKS" and take the truck to all the normal events. Also send Dynomax a copy. That might get them to change their minds.

Interesting issue. Now if they had taken YOUR picture, at least under California law, you would have a case. But your truck, hmmmm...

If the company is falsely suggesting that your truck is running a Dynomax product, you may have a case under the federal and/or state false advertising statutes, but there may be a standing issue because you really didn't suffer any injury.

But I doubt it would be worth the effort in any case.

Isn't this the same crap that happened to TampaSVT?

It does suck when someone can take your vehicle and use it to promote their company, when you did not give permission or recieve any parts and or $$

I hope this gets resolved to your satisfaction BC

Yup. Basically the same idea. I don't think TampaSVT ever did anything about it in the end though. Hopefully beefcake takes action... Im curious to see what the outcome is.

I would just write into Race Pages, and make a comment on how you think it's funny that DynoMax wants to advertise their name on a truck that's running their competitors products. And basically state the question: "Is DynoMax's business slogan *If you can't beat them, make everyone think someone elses products ours?*"

I do think somethings wrong with this picture. It's personal property, which is just like a copyright infringement thing..

It is rather confusing to say the least.

Beef..........

Didn't you get rid of your L...........if you did, you may have no recourse now since you don't own it.

This does suck and the same thing happened to Rich. Good luck.

Same thing happened w/my 95 mustang. Saw it in ad banners online, nothing can be done though.

Maybe since Kooks payed you, they can follow up on it with Dynamax. "exhaust co. vs exhaust co."
