Bassani vs Borla

Just installed the Bassani cat-back system on my 2002 ,, which was replacing the Borla cat-back I had. I liked the quality of the Borla system but wanted a little nicer sound without going to high flows or headers. I was concerned about quality and fit of the Bassani, because I feel that Borla makes the best.
( the system was going on another L to test but it was sold sunday)

Well,,, I can say the Bassani is as high in quality (IMO) as the Borla and fit was perfect!!! The sound of the Bassani is even better than I expected!! Just what I wanted. The Borla was a little deeper than stock at idle but I felt about the same in other driving situations. The Bassani has an even deeper sounding pitch at idle and a nice deep scream when you get into it!!! Not to forget nicer looking tips. (IMO)

Thought this might help those thinking of Borla or Bassani.
THANKS to Tim at Chikenears for his honest advice and service, a supplier that delivers !!!!! (a day earlier than he promised no less!!!) Thankyou Tim .. you rock!!!!

I too just bought the Bassani from Tim. It is an awesome product, and I think it would be tough to beat the sound of the Bassani. I am very happy I decided to go with it, and like you said, Tim provided great service.

The ONLY way to beat the sound of the Bassani, is to put a set of Long Tubes in front of them

Even better, Bassani, X pipe, no cats & long tubes. I'm drooling on that thought.

I to have the Borla System and I am not totally satisfied. I think the exhaust itself is fine. Good quality fit and finish... but I want a good sound, a nice rumble. I have not heard a Bassani but everyone says is great. I am considering switching but $650-700 is quite expensive. The Borla is not much different from stock sound wise. I would honestly rather hear a loud exhaust rumble rather than that supercharger whine all the time. My 2 cents!

Throw some High Flow cats on it . From what I hear They will waken your exhaust up.
