Roush Lightning

On my vacation to Arkansas stoped and talked to a friend of mine. he hasn't seen my truck so i was showing it to him. he said there was a guy in town that had a special lightning built by Roush. When i say Roush, he didn't know the exact name so i called out all the popular names and he said yes roush the racer. He said that they were built and given away to certain people. Most of them on the nascar circuit and this guy that worked with him. said that the guy told him that it put 750 to the wheels, and did not notice any different badging, but he didn't really look. He said he was also given a 1100 hp cobra. Said he had these vehicles for about 2 years. This guy doesn't lie or bs, unless the fellow is. This was in the town of Arkadelphia.

My friend's dad is neighbors with Mark Martin. I'll see if he got one of these rumored vehicles

I built my Roush Lightning. Roush racing suspension on a lightning. What a great concept! It sports the billet pedals also. Doesn't put down close to 750 HP though, but I can dream.

Sixpipes Lightning has the Roush suspension.. Doesnt have 700 hp though.. Dont think the Roush kits do any significant power upgrades to the lightnings

Roush did indeed build a "Lightning" clone. Its an extended cab truck with a blower bolted on. 700 hp.......... hells any things possible, we went to the moon, right?

Wink

my dodge "bbqmobile" puts out over 700hp to the wheels, and that's just a mild recipie. i'd imagine a ford racing team could do better than a simple bbqman or something

Arkadelphia, huh? I haven't ever seen anything even remotely exotic (in terms of vehicles anyway) in Arkadelphia. Of course - if you aren't in school there, or passing through on your way to the lake, it isn't like there is a big draw there! However, I can be there in 45 minutes or so with a digital camera if you can get confirmation and an address.

I heard about these from someone else as well. One showed up at a car show and won top rwhp at a dyno contest over a buncha modded supras.

You got it man. No, this is a lightning. has the badges, not extended cab, has the 01/02 wheels. As soon as i can I'm going to go up there. and if it takes you 45min your not driving a lightning from benton. But yeah, you are invited if you want. i played with a jetta blowing by him at 130 on the way back with:

1 charcoal grill
2 dinning room chairs
1 living room chars
luggage

IN the back LMAO!!
