Test and Tune @ Rt 66 Tuesday the 22nd anyone else wanna go?

I think I am going to try to take the truck back to the track for round 2 at my quest for a 12 second timeslip. I ran a 13.02 at us41 with a 1.95 60 foot time (very badly prepped track).
If I can get that down to a 1.85 or so I think I can pull a 12.80 out of er'. The weather looks to be perfect. A high of 59 degrees and 0% chance of rain. I am going to try to get there around 2 right when they open. Let me know if anyone around the area wants to meat up there. I think it's the first Tuesday night Test and Tune, so it may be crowded. I am going to try to make a few passes between 2 and 3 and if it's not crazy buisy, i'll stick around till 7 or 8 and try to make another pass when it cools down at night. Let me know if anyone else can make it, thanks, Shane

No money for the track this time but good luck with your launch. You should be able to get a lot better time at a nicely prepped track like 66.

Shane,
I'd love to go but unfortunately I have to work If you get there when they open you should be able to get at least 5 runs in. I went the Sat before last an ran a 12.77 with a 1.82 60ft time. The track was hooking great!! You shoud definitely get your 12 sec pass. Good luck

Please dont knock US41! Its mom and pop track, but its not bad.
Your truck hooked at US41 on the drag radials you bought from Jeff. Street tires are a waste of time unless youe stock and will spin at every track unless you feather the throttle off the line, but then you wont be running your best times with that technique. You want to run your best times, get E.T. Streets or full slicks. The only way you will get every thing your truck has to offer is mashing the throttle to the floor off the line, if you cant do that, why bother.

Good luck with your times tomorrow. RT66 is a nice a$$ track, but the little guys get no respect. Thats why I tend to stay away unless there is something going on or when alot of friends go with. Also i'd rather spend $20 to run a bunch of times at US41 than $35 for 3-4 runs at RT66.

Jason

Struck,
I agree that we should all help to support the Ma and Pa tracks. If it wasn't for them most of us would have nowhere to go. I was there the same day that you guys where and I could not hook there. My best 60ft was a 1.92 and I do run ET streets. If you want to get in a lot of runs and support the community go to 41. If you want to get your best time go to Rt66 and wait 2 hrs per pass.

Jeff are you gonig to make it to rt66 or are you closer to us41?
Jason I'll still go to us41 I had a blast there. It's just I ran 10 times and I couldn't get traction and I couldnt get that 12 second timeslip I wanted. I think at 66 I will be in the 12.80-12.90 range on stock F1's correct? With F1's at 66 will I grip at idle, I mash it off the line, or will I spin? I know at us41 I could mash it off the line only with the drag radials... Any more advise for me, thanks, Shane

yeah I'll give you a call tomorrow and let ya know how I did. And i'd love to go out riden with ya. Once this weather clears up, that's all I'll be doing. I am going to order a few more parts for the L, other than that, I'll be riden the bike... My girlfriend LOVES it man. I couldn't get her off it. I took her out the Sunday b4 easter, and she really enjoyed it. She'd really like to meat ya. She says I talk about ya to much for her to not know who ya are. So we gotta get together. Talk to ya later, Shane
