I just wanted to thank everyone for all of their great help and info they have provided and the welcome here.

I loved my truck and only have positive things to say about them.

I traded it in on a 03' QS Z06. I saw it as a once in a life time chance to own something like that. If i had the choice i would have keep the L too, but it was not a option.

Im not saying good bye, just wanted to update everyone.

oh, cause i was watching motortrend or some show like that and they had a special edition vette that was 500hp and 525tq, i forgot what they called it, it was some guy's name or something...

i think the C 6 is suppose to have like 500 hp when it comes out.

there are several modded 03' cobra's around here that are in the 11's.

Dont get me wrong i look @ them preatty hard, but have always wanted a vette and this one is made for the track and turn 28 mpg too.

BTW- this is my 1st GM product ever. Been all Ford.

i left most to the parts on it, didnt want to strip it.

i have the stock throttle body, stock size pulley for upper metco set up, left A-pillar where i put gauges and handle, ash tray, original oil fill cap and several other things left over. i also have a guy making me slapper bars that i would be willing to let go for the money i have in them when he finishes them. anything else i find i will post. if anyone is interested drop me a e-mail.

At least yo didnt go import. Speaking of corvette i beat a 92 corvette this weekend. Had cams ported heads and a couple other things.

No imports here, only american made. The vette was made right down the road in bowling green, ky. congrats on your kill. i took a couple regualar c5's in my L.

lingenfelter has many upgrade options.

 

you made the same choice I would have. I was torn between the lightning and the z-06 and went with the L because it was about 15K cheaper. But I really want a Z-06 . How bad is the insurance on the vette????? NIce choice and color by the way. I have never owned anything non-ford (except a jeep, but I bought that for my dad). The car market has had some sad offerings until lately. The lancer EVO, WRX (new 300hp one), '03 cobra, Lightining, and Z-06 have really changed things. Will be interesting to see what the future holds.

 

I miss the L and the whine of the supercharger, but i am really enjoying the vette and im getting 25+ miles per gallon.

my insurance only went up slightly.

All of my other vechiles have been black, but when i saw the quick silver and slightly darker wheels, there was no other choice.

Performance vechiles have really improved in the last 4 years.

I will say this, the vette owners have a simliar 'owner hood' with fellow vette owner(wave, stop and talk). The same way the Lightning owners do.
