cyntaxx........yes Ed made all the Lexane body pieces on his truck.........wiper cowl, mirros deletes, smooth grill pieces (other people are already using running his smooth grills). As for the hood I didn't believe it either, but it weighs like 9#, I picked it up and almost ***** myself.

VINNIE........he isn't putting in a cage

I have been thinking about drilling holes in the frame. Take a look at the factory trans mount crossmember. How much do you think that weighs? Everything on these trucks is too heavy. Putting the trucks on a diet makes sense in every way. The truck will go quicker, stop quicker, get better mileage, and will be easier on the drivetrain. Pontiac made some light weight racers with "swiss cheese" frames in the '60s.

Or if you have access to aluminum you could replace huge pieces of steel framework with piece or aluminum

ive seen something similar to that but never with the saw and everything, thats soooooooooooooo ****ing funny. Im laughing my *** of in my cubicle and everyones staring trying to figure out why.

No antena either; where's the hole it mounts in??? Those might be some kind of aluminum or CF fenders to shave off some weight. I was looking under my truck and noticed a bunch of stuff that was extra/overkill that could be left at home.

I would have to guess that it's an air intake since the filter is just behind it.
