Talking How could you EVER sell it?

If I get another car, it'll be just that, another car, I'll find SOMEWHERE to park the truck.

How can someone ever sell one of these after owning them. Besides the obvious fun factor in driving, just look at these things, they're beautiful. I can't help but stare for endless amounts of time.

I'm sure everyone loves their own, in their own way, but man, I can't help looking at mine. Must keep it.

i was just talking to my wife about this today. i have owned this truck for a little over a year and i still get just as happy driving it as i did the first time i got in. i cant even think of a vehicle i would want more than this truck. if i could, i would prolly go out and get it.

ive been part of this community for over a year and have learned more about cars, from this site, then i ever knew before.

thanx for being such a great group of guys and teaching me so much.

just thought id get emotional and share

Very true my friend. I love my truck. I would probably sell my soul to keep it if it came down to it. I just enjoy it some much. The one thing I do not like though is being in fear everytime I hit the pedal. I think I will let her rest for the time being and drive the Cobra. I am gonna try and pay the Lightning off in the next couple of months once I sell some investment property I have then go for a built motor with some heads and cams. That should ease my worries. These truck are simply amazing though. On Saturday I had the greatest time I have had in a while now. -Mat-

In my opinion there is no vehicle out there which is more beautiful that an 'L. I've had alot of cars before and nothing has been more enjoyable than the 'L!

I bet you WILL sell yours someday. You might not be able to imagine it now but it sure as heck will happen. You think 30 years from now you'll still have an ancient pickup truck?

It is the perfect truck for my current stage in life. It has all the speed and practicality I want for my own personal reasons. It gets looks. It performs. And believe it or not it has thus far not given me any real problems (knock on wood).

With that said, if I had the coin for a 6-digit type car (ie 911 TT, etc) and the resources to keep it (ie garage, insurance, maintenance, daily driver), I would trade the L in on it if that had to be the case. But more than likely I would keep her as a daily driver or maybe transform her to be a true track car/drag vehicle.

But situations change and I understand fully why some people here end up going to a "tamer" ride. Growing family, new house, etc are all excellent reasons to sell and I for one would be happy to do so for a newborn baby or a first house to start a family in.

Sounds crazy for a 19 year old doesn't it??

In a word, YES.

I dont plan to EVER sell mine. You'd think that after the intercooler recall, blown plugs, etc that I'd have th good sense to get rid of it. But thats just the beauty of this truck. Any time something breaks, I can talk myself into bigger and better items. I'm a little concerned that 20 years from now when my aftermarket chip dies that I'll have no way to replace it. I'm a little concerned that the vast body of knowledge online will be little but a memory and some bits and bytes scattered to the winds. I'm a little worried that the technology baked into these vehicles will be hard to support in the long run. But this truck isn't going anywhere as long as I have the money in the bank or on credit to make it run

And yes, I look forward to my grandkids asking Pop for a ride in the "old" '99.
