https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=113297

After reading this post i DO NOT want the same thing to happen to me.
I would like to go with Denso.
Also what does it need to be gapped at.

Mods.
'99 L (very low mileage)
3lb pulley
90mm MAF
Airraid intake
F/T Valve Body
Deep trans pan
17" Nitto Drag Radial (strip only)
Superchip Flip chip (being burned 4/25) (on dyno with all mods installed)
160 degree thermostat

what Plug do you recomend?
What should it be gapped at?

Again I'd like to stick with the Densos?
A

My truck ran awesome with IT-16's with a 4# lower.

But I am sure everyone else will recommend IT-20's or 24's

Gap @ .040 regardless of plug.

Her is what one of our tuners had to say about gapping IT-22's:

I usually suggest a gap of .032-.034 for a 6lb pulley. As you increase boost, you increase cylinder pressure. As cylinder pressure goes up, it's harder for the spark to jump the gap, so you make it smaller. My standard suggestion is .036-.038 for stock or 2lb, .034-.036 for 4lb, and .032-.034 for a 6lb. If you are running spray, then kick it down .002 more.
