12 second club!
12 second club!
Still can't get traction whatsoever but I did finally manage my 12 second slip. Did only 3 runs with a best of 12.9@106. 60' was still in the 2.0s. On all the runs I feel myself start to spin and have to let off and then get back on it.
Not entirely happy with my time but with Nitto DRs going on next weekend, I should see more solid 12s for sure before the season is over.
I just need more practice! Only made 3 runs because it was getting WAY too crowded (over 100 cars plus eliminations, etc.)
Plus we got two hungry and decided to go eat.
Saw some pretty cool cars including 2 guys that brought their Sonic Blue 03 Cobras. One had a 2.8 inch pulley, chip, filter, and Flowmasters and only managed a 13.2 best. The other one was stock except for a K&N and only ran a 13.7. Others included a nice looking orange C5 that also ran a 13.59. Suffice to say traction wasn't up to par that day.
Even though I'm kinda disappointed in my times the rest of the day made up for it!

I hope so. I'm also curious....what does my trap speed say about any potential ETs?
By the way, this was done with full weight except the rear hitch. I did use the race side of my chip (more timing, firmer shifts). I believe the race side would dyno within the 400/500 range...if that means anything.

106 trap speed is a 12.8-12.7 E.T. Approximately.
I was 104 when I was running 12.9s.

Hmm I know there are many variables at play here but I thought with my mods I would be deeper into the 12s?
Maybe I was just over-estimating. I guess only time (and a LOT more practice will tell)
Hmmm...might have to get a set of slicks after all...

Sorry, I do not play for that team................................. Not that theres anything wrong with that.
I just looked at my timeslips and it's funny because I ran against 2 11 second cars and both had sh*tty 60's. The first was a z28 that trapped at 117 but only ran a 13.0 because he had a 2.4 60 ft. The second had a 2.07 even though it ran a mid-11 at 133mph!
(I'm just trying to back my excuse of why I ran that high of an ET)
...crying myself to sleep tonite...

You have nothing to cry yourself to sleep about.
CONGRATS BROTHER, YOU RAN 12's
BTW
I ran all last season with 6lbs of Pulley and couldn't get out of the 13's. I went I think 6 weekends in a row running 13.3's.
After a while I realized IT WAS NOT MY MODS, I needed more timing in my Chip. Went to 17 Degrees and ran 13.1 and 13.0.
Then I took off my upper and ran 4lbs of pulley only, no other mods, except filter and chip, then got my 12.8. The true reason I got the 12 was because I finally let it cool for a couple of hours and needed 17 Degrees of Timing.
(all runs on F-1's 1.8 or 1.9 60ft)
Even this weekend at Cecil, with the Nitrous Program and Nitrous I only ran a 12.8 1st run, then I switched to my Gas program and ran 12.0 back to back twice in a row. I ran (5) 12's Saturday and now are stuck on the door step by a 100th of a second from my 11.99 goal. The Slicks got me multi 1.6 60 ft times, "no extra long cool down" "or fan or ice cooling in the pits"
You did great Bro, be proud, lower you 60ft and you'll be where you want to be
