93Cobra, I know what you mean. Thank goodness for forums
like this. I was aware of some of the problems that Lightnings
were having before I bought it so I requested a repair listing
for the truck before I would even talk to the salesman. In
addition to the intercooler the report showed a replaced
fuel pump and a new seat. Actually the reason I wanted it the
most is to find out how many times a mechanic had been into
the truck. I hope there are no dealer mechanics out there
and if there are I apologize but I have found most of them
to be ham fisted apes. I don't let any mechanic touch my
cars unless I have no alternative.

Pontiac/Eaton s/c'r oil--get two 4 oz. bottles--should be enough.

Next time you are down visiting, we will need to get together and head to the track... or stop out for some beverages. We have no more Hooters, so that is out. But, I do know of a few nice, local watering holes.
Good luck with the repairs.
