Lightning Force Performance

I bought the cold air kit from lightning force performance and talk about a piece of junk! He charged me 140 I believe and I didnt get all the hardware and to mount the spring clamp you have to use the fender bolt, which I might add isnt long enough and goodluck in finding the exact same screw at the hardware. Next time go right off the bat for the air raid. Needless to say I had to put the original back on. Also no directions! This kit might be worth 45-50 bucks!

Sometimes you have to wonder why some of these "air kits" are so cheap and other times it hits you square in the face

btw.......my PSP FastAir system bolted right up to my truck and all the correct hardware was supplied

Hmmmm....I'm sure if you called them, they would make things right for you.

There is an AirAid in the classifieds here pretty cheap.

Dayuuum! Mark has been taking a beating here lately. I haven't ordered anything from him for a while; but, I've had nothing but good to say about the way he's treated me in the past. It's been the same for just about everybody else who's dealt with him, too.

I wonder if there is something wrong with him, or if something is going on that we don't know about. I hope he's doing OK.

Mark at Lightning Force

Dont get me wrong,he seemed like a nice guy.But when Im spending my hard earned dollars I have little patience for BS! I mean no directions? Not all the correct hardware? I mean I figured out how it suppose to go (goodluck), but what am I supposed to use, the force?

Mine bolted right up when I installed mine. I suspect that you probably are missing something in which case Mark should take care of you, or you are doing something wrong.

Mark doesn't frequent this site much anymore, so I think your complaint would be much better recieved in his forum over on www.nloc.net

Good luck with your situation.

I run the same air filter kit that LFP sells but I didnt get it from them.I saw 1# increase in boost from the filter alone,so I know it removed a restriction in air flow. Mine didnt come with instructions either.Considering that there are only about 4 pieces to the whole kit that have to be assembled, its pretty easy to figure out. They probably assumed that most people that mod these trucks have basic tools and auto knowledge.Thats not always the case. Most of the parts that I have bought are pretty self explanatory but I have been playing with cars as a hobby for years.Understanding why you upgrade certain components helps you to understand how to do it.It seems a lot of guys try to mod their trucks to improve performance, without even basic understanding how it functions when its stock. This is not meant as a flame in any way.It just seems that many Lightning owners are new to opening a hood and trying to do more than they really understand.

I sure you have access to a phone from your trailer, Deal with Mark like an adult, if your not happy with it speak to him directly to resolve the problem, Mark has a very good reputation and a loyal following, this type of post does nothing to resolve your problem. Good luck, Todd

I don't know about the other kits out there, but my JLP didn't come with instructions, but it's a pretty straight forward installation. Give Mark a call, I'm sure he'd rather work with you than have you verbally kick the crap out of his reputation..........
