Route 66 raceway today!

well I did a HD's plugs this morning and WOW is all I can say about a 8lb lower pulley. Thats a monster, HAHAHAHHAHA. Got done with that and I headed up to 66 with my buddy jeff with his red 02.

There where a couple L guys up there, ripper and some other guy in a true blue but he didn't stop over and say anything to us.

OMG the people there today, I swear it was like the NHRA was there cause there was so many people. When you come to 66 and people are parked in the grass you might as well turn around and head home cause its a 1 1/2 to 2 hour wait in line to get a run in. Plus they let the top fuel guys go two to three times before the little guys going 11's and higher get to run once. Me and jeff didn't race at all but we sat there and watched everyone and it was pretty cool. They had this jet rail car there and it was sweet as hell when he took off. that thing was so damn loud and it looked like the glass on the stadium was all going to shatter when he light the burner. The guy with the true blue ran a 13.3 or somthing and there was a couple zo6's running mid 12's but nothing to impressive. I never seen so many people run in the 17 to 19 second range. Must have been a bunch of Fast Gators out there running there ***** boxes, HAHAHAHHAHAHA.

Any it was fun but not worth the wait to get a run in.

Those jet cars are crazy. I thought the same thing when I saw them up at Englishtown a couple years back.

We were all ready to go to Joliet on the 5th and they cancelled the test and tune. I was so disappointed. 3-4 of us L guys in the svtoa-hoi club are planning on going to Cordova the 19th, I hope it isnt as crowded as Joe said route 66 was...

wow I hope US41 isn't that crowded tomorrow

Haven't raced since last fall and I know I'll need more than one run to get my bearings, especially with all the new mods!

At least I have a hot blonde going up there with me!

Joe it was good talking to ya again. The truck was looking good I knew how packed the place was going to get so I left my house at 7:40am and was sitting in line by 8:00. I was the first car through spec and the first down the track and I still only got 4 runs in. I left about 2:30 after talking to you. I did run my personal best of 12.7 so I was a happy camper. There was a wicked wreck with 2 nine sec cars that took over an hr to clean up. I was under the tunnel wating to go next and the car in my lane started to get loose at the top end of the track. He kept his foot into it and end up taking a sharp left and clipped the guys rear end in the left lane and then all I saw was a big cloud of smoke. The good news is they both walked away. If you go to Rt66 you have to get there BEFORE they open

Joe you should have went to US 41 Sat. We had the track to ourselves just about. I have a havd time going to the track with my L and letting it sit and not running. RT 66 is just too crowded most times. Costs more too...Come out to 41 sometime... See ya Jeff
