when I took my blower apart I taped over the holes to keep out dirt, so I didn't put any grease in it. but others just used a high quality synthetic grease, not to much or it will push the rotors forward against the the front of the charger

My blower and all is off my truck right now too, porting and polishing everything. Pics to come.
I just went down to autozone and picked up some mobil 1 synthetic universal grease after i cleaned the old blue stuff out with some throttle body cleaner. Do you guys think this is a good idea? I have not used it yet...

If you are going to change out the supercharger grease make sure you THOROUGHLY clean out the blue grease. When you pack in the new grease you don't want to use to much because it can push the rotors forwards. And if you don't clean out all the blue grease you will now exactly how much you are putting in there.

It took my 20 min to clean out all the grease to where there was no more blue coming out. I actually was/am kind of worried though because part of the rubber grommet part of the front of both holes came off a little, but i think it will be ok, hopefully
Also, i dont see how putting too much grease would push the rotors forward? i mean i dont see anyone packing so much into it you can barely stick the rotor ends in? i was just going to pack it in good and take out any extra that was in the way to the back of it.

appreciate the help

Jon

Hydrolic displacement is a powerfull thing!

A old trick to remove a stuck pilot bearing from the end of your crankshaft is to pack it with grease and then pound in a used main shaft or pilot bearing alignment tool.

OUT POPS THE BEARING from the presure of the grease behind the bearing.

Not preaching, just giving you an example to your question and a trick for future use someday!

Good luck with your project. Nice post!
