Flutter, shake, rattle, and ticking

Remember how I took my bone stock '02 HD twice to service saying how I could hear and feel what sounds like irregular idle that could be heard coming from passenger side of engine and felt in passenger seat? Remember how they all said they can not see a problem?

Well, things got worse recently. Now I can very often, when in idle, hear flutter, rattle, and ticking sounds coming from passenger side of engine, and if you pop the hood and watch the engine you can see it shake irregularly (that shake can be felt in driver seat now too, as if you are sitting in a diesel choo choo train).

I can see a visit to a service (again) in the very near future. In the meantime, do you guys have any ideas what might be going on?

Thanks in advance!

A plug and coil are 'backing out' giving you a miss/dead cylinder.

ok the engine shaking irregularily i think is pretty normal depending on the degree of the shake, that shouldnt bother you. As for the rattle and flutter im just not sure. Ticking could easily be injecters, that puzzuled me for the longest time. The fact that its more prominent is the only part that would cause me concern. I would be looking at plugs first and foremost. Do you have a mechanics stethoscope? Ive found this to be a great tool for locating noises if your a little patient.

Good luck gettin it fixed, hope they find the problem.

Check the plugs before you drive it.

Amount I see/feel doesn't seem normal to me. Speed it is getting worse (from absolutely smooth over first 5K-6K miles, to starting to sound rough at 10K miles, to current status at 14K miles) doesn't seem normal to me either.

It's a possibility. As for plugs, that part I will have to leave to service. As it stands right now I will not be putting any more miles on it until it goes in for a service.

I borrowed it when "rough idle" issue started and we couldn't hear anything wrong with injectors. Looks like it is time to purchase one for myself.

Thanks for help!

I would actually be cool if it blows a head just so I can have a pleasure of asking "And can you now reproduce the problem?".

It is going to the shop ASAP. In the meantime it will stay in garage and I will be driving something else.
