Which MAF sensors are the best and what are the performance gains I can expect, what kind of horsepower? The truck is a 99 lightning with a cat back and a K&N filter.

I put a 2001 mass air meter on. It is a 90MM as opposed to a 80MM. Truck felt good after the swap. Hope this helps.

 

Like 92Saleen said just get the 2001-up MAF......

 

Your stock 80mm MAF flows plenty to get you deep into the 12's. A 90mm will make more difference with heavier mods.

 

You can probably find a cheap Pro M 80. 99's respond well to them in certain cases. From old treads, a lot of guys don't like them because their tuners had problems tuning them. I've got one and you can see my numbers below. Danny runs one on his 9 second mustang so he knows how to tune with it. My A/F numbers are good so it's not just leaning it out.

 

get yourself a 2001+ 90 milmeter and you'll be a happy camper, but make sure you get a chip to run with it.
