Boost gauge

How acurate is the stock boost gauge? I bought a 99 lightning this past Monday and when i hit WOT the gauge will hit 10++ lbs. It actually goes all the way to the black. I have not had a chance to take it to the track. I do know that the upper pully has been changed and that it has had some head work done to it (which wouldn't affect how much boost it builds, right?). The dealership I bought it from was more or less selling it for their transmission mechanic, who was gone when I went to the dealership as it was about 6 when I got there. I have not had a chance to go back as the dealership is about 3 hours away. I do have a printout of the dyno run with 375hp and 470f/lbs, but I won't believe it till I can see it on the dyno as it sits. If anyone knows a transmission mechanic that had a 99 white lightning from Atlanta, with what was done to it please send me a pm. It could have the mods taken back off and the old dyno sheet still with it. Sorry about the long post, but I can say this is the best driving/handeling vehicle I have ever owned. I LOVE my new lighting.

the boost gauge isn;t that accurate compared to some. I'm running over 10lbs but i don't have an autometer. i probably won't have another boost gauge.

maybe the mechanic put a bigger boost pulley on it.
that is why you are pushing over 10#.
My '99 L stock everything (including filter) pushed 10# but not over on the stock gauge

I got the nickname when I worked for a local Honda (motorcycles not the car), shop. When I first started they could not remeber my name, so they called me Geronimo. So when I got an email account years ago, Geronimo was taken, so TheRealGeronimo was it. People still call me Geronimo and it has been 8 years since I worked there.
