Nitto 555r and f1 combo?

I was wondering who recommends this combo.

Nitto 555r's on the back
F1's on the front?

I like to travel when i have the time and i drive my truck daily. The f1's just don't hook up off the line. lost to a ws6 the other night off the line but stomped it from a 30 punch all the way up to 115 .

also should i go with the 295/45/18 Nitto on the back with the 295/45/18 f1's on the front, ORRR 305/45/18 nitto's on the back and 295/45/18 f1 on the front.

thanx

edit: Nitto doesn't make a 295/45/18 ?

I have that setup on my L currently. I personally like the 555r's on the rear off the line TONS better than the f1's. They hook nicely at the track too I've heard, but I've yet to try it. I like the combo, though those things break loose in the rain worse than some bald f1's!!

I've been running the R's in back and stock F1's in front for a couple thousand miles now. This included a couple of 600 mile plus Interstate runs. I think they drive great, look great, and have zero reservations about getting them again. I have raced one time with them and had a best of 1.85 60ft and i am a rookie, as others have done even better with them.

The 305/45/18 is what fits the stock wheels.

nittos

the 305 is what is sold in the drag radial.........slightly different looking than the f1. My dad bought a set to put on his 00 right before he got the 03.........just didn't like the look of the nitto/f1's. I would get the regular 555, and the 555r's in the back. I heard the 555r's were great in the rain..........is this a myth

The only Nitto 555r's that will fit the stock rim is the 305/45/18. I currently have the 555r's on the back and F1's on the front and I love the combo. I'm actually on my second set of Nitto's. I run them all the time and have pulled anywhere from 1.73 - 1.77 60's with them plus you don't have to change your wheels when you go to the track, just let out a little air and go. When my F1's on the front wear out I will be putting the regular 555's on.

I was going to run the toyo proxe tires on the front after my f1's wear out. guess it will depend on the price compared to the 555's
