My original goal for my truck was to have a mid 12 sec daily driver. Well as most of you know once you hit your goal you create another one. I ran a 12.9 last yr before traction bars, FT VB and Catback. I understand I will not gain from the CB but I should be around 12.7 now with current mods(will find out for sure this Sat at RT 66). My ? is for those who have a truck running high 11's what mods do you have and what would be my next step? Current mods are in sig. Please don't say TB or any other $500 2hp mods. I don't have 3-5K to spend on a new blower or built motor. Is this 11 sec dream of mine a posibility or should I just be happy with what I have?

 

SVTF150 just ran 12.02, he has full exhaust, 6lb lower, E-Fan/Pump, torque converter, etc. do a search and find the rest of his mods, also Vinnie hit the 11's I think, all bolt ons no nitrous, you can hit the 11's now if you spray it, or you can do with just the bolt ons, 60ft time is a big part of it so getting drag radials or slicks is a must.

 

If you throw on a air filter, T/B, chip,drag tire and a KB you could!!

I'm in the Lakewood Falls subdivision off of Weber Rd. I have a black 01 but it's in the garage most of the time and it only gets taken out on sunny days. Are you going to 66 Sat? I just turned 13k.

 

Get a 6 or 8# lower, a good race tune, an electric fan, some sort of cold air kit, Hoosiers, and some weight loss.

You know who I am if you think about it. I was the guy with the black L when you blew up your monster box If I remember correctly I think you ran a 12 something but I don't think you were spraying. The track opens at 9:00 and it's open til 5 if your interested. By the way your girls house is about 3 min away. If stay on airport and make a right on Budler, I'm on the left side first turn in.

Well this saturday is looking free to me so I might just have to make it out there and see what I can do. Now I have to gut my truck, dammit!

Well guys I got an HD customer coming over at 11 on saturday for me to do some modding so we'll see when I get out of there. If anything I might just take a cruise down to come check you guys out.

 

Nitrous!!!! For $800.00 you can have a complete NX nitrous kit which you can run the 75hp jets which will be safe for the factory rods and should get you into the high 11.90's with good traction!

 

I'm gonna start gutting guys and try to be out there around 12:30 or so. I just want a couple passes and I'll be happy.
