Angry I got my truck back

Well, as some of u know, some one keyed my ruck a few weeks ago, well i got it back on wed good as new, if not better, lol. Today we decided to take a road trip 200 miles north to see a college i want to go to. I pull over and ask for directions, when i start the truck again, blum, pop pop pop pop, there went plug #7. Im so pissed, ford wouldnt tow our truck to town, so i have to drive 200 miles back again to get the damn truck. its gonna take two weeks or so before they get the work done. I was gonna go quading this week, but now i cant. My whole spring break is ruined cause of this damn plug. Ok i got some questions for those of u who have had this problem. How long did it take to get fix? Did the problem ever return? And did u guys get the new 03 heads or just the regular heads? Thanks, and comments or any experiences u guys went through would be appriciated. Thanks

What do you mean they wouldnt tow it to town? You have to pay out of pocket to get the truck to the dealer? That wouldnt fly with me.

Thumbs down

This sucks. I am tired of hearing about this crap! My experience sucked! Nothing but a bunch of lies and a scratched up truck. I did get a nice red Sable to drive though. Bring in a $32,000 truck to get worked on and get stuck driving some piece of crap. This is getting way out of hand. Fix your *******-ups Ford! Took about 2-3 weeks to get everything fixed then my driveshaft broke 3 days later. Took another week to get a driveshaft in. Lets just say I wasn't happy with my truck that month(A piece of wood even fell on the hood the night after the plug spit out). HaHa. Goodluck getting your truck fixed. I hope you have a better experience then I did. -Mat-

fill out the complaint linked from the sticky post. Went and checked the site the other day, the plug complaints are sure piling up. Looks to be mostly 01's.

2001's

Please don't tell me that the 2001's are the ones lauching the plugs!!!! Now I'm getting paranoid I wonder if the Ford dealer will check them for me under warranty?

I'm soooooooo sick of reading these post
There has got to be legal action that can be taken against Ford.
Each and every person with these heads should get new ones installed for free with or without a wrrnty, and with or without mods. THE HEADS ARE DEFECTIVE PERIOD

Real sorry Dman25, sounds like your about to go through hell
again I'm in the process of buying another 2nd car so I can use it for vacation this year. No way in hell can I trust the Lightning on week long road trips.

I see SVT F15O's been through hell too, along with the other thousands and thousands that blew plugs this year.
My last count was over 1500 in 3 months

I may just part mine out, and collect the insurance when it happens to me. Then buy something else.

It's great owning a truck that'll cost me over 40g's (with the loan), and I can't even take it on vacation because it's only a matter of time til it spits a plug
