Chip + Line Valve Mod? Too much?

I have been wondering this for a bit... I am sure most everyone in here who has an aftermarket chip, their program has firmed up the shifting of the truck, I believe by increasing pressure and shortening time between shifts. So, that's great. But then what about the line valve modification which alot of people do? That increases pressure as well. Is this needed if the program of the chip is already done? In my thinking wouldn't 2 devices that both increase shifting pressures be a bad thing, because the net result is too much strain on the tranny? Thoughts?

Plain and simple: the tranny in these things are not where you should be cutting corners. The RIGHT way to firm up shift is with FT valvebody and nothing else.If you are running a chip which changes line pressure to hit HARDER its only time before it goes BOOM!. Better off with QUICKER/FIRMER shifts from valvebody
