Hey Soap,
If you don't have any clue what you are talking about, then post about it just makes you look stupid.

Having written software for dyno's, I can assure you that I know exactly what I'm taliking about. I know way more about it than I care too. Want to argue?

air1kdf you are in the wrong.

Yes the chart should cross at 5250, but only when the torque and HP axis are the same.

Look at the chart again. HP goes to 525 and torque goes to 650.

Actual numbers at 5250 are the same.

You may know your dynos, but you don't know how to read a graph (or you just missed it)

Soap is Right. You are wrong.

If you look at HP on the side of the chart it goes from 250 to 525

If you at the torque side (right), it goes from 200 to 650

Because they are scaled differently, they will not cross at 5250 RPM.

If torque and RPM were scaled the same you would be right.

EDIT: Darn Coldie, you beat me to it.

Okay, well maybe I don't understand. I look at the graph and on dyno run 001 I see the HP and Torque crossing 5200rpm at around 510/515. Am I wrong?

RPM...............HP-1.............TQ-1
4200..............450................565
4400..............462................550
4600..............480................545
4800..............491................537
5000..............501................525
5200..............512................515
5400..............510................492

These are just close approximations.

I have no doubt that the numbers are correct. But... From looking at the chart that was posted the lines cross at around 4400 RPM's. This means that either HP or Torque is scaled differently than the other. Bottom line is if the numbers cross at 5250 RPM's then the chart should also reflect this. They probably should have hired a better programmer, because that chart is VERY misleading to say the least. Some people may realize it, but most will not. Then they mention false numbers in other posts.

Your right, but all they are looking at is the lines and not the numbers......all they wanna see is the X at a certian RPM.....which does not mean anything at all.

Listen man if you know soooooo friggin much about dyno software then you would know that if the hp and tq scales are different then the numbers will not cross at 5252.

So does that mean this dyno run of mine last year is a fake one too

Now that the numbers are posted, they look great! Chart $ucks.

It could be a weed eater, or top fuel dragster. HP and Torque must cross at 5250 RPM's. All I said was the posted chart didn't reflect this.

This is also an easy way to tell if the chart is made correctly.

BTW awesome power

Charts are not misleading, unless you compare charts.....most people only care about numbers. If you read any 2 charts you can compare the numbers at any RPM.
