What kind of mods...?
Hey all,
I'm going to put a down payment on an '03... (sometime within the next 6 months) And I was just curious... what kind of mods can I do without voiding the warrenty? Only things I was really considering was a K&N, a chip and maybe cat-backs. Tell me what ya think...
Laters,
Drew

I think you'll be fine with these:
K&N or even a open-element filter
catback
e-fan
shift kit/FT/LFP vbody
A chip is probably the first thing a mod-UNfriendly dealership will look for (whether or not the conformal coating has been scraped off) as well as markings on the pulley assembly, etc. So those two seem to be what they are after the most.
The mods I listed above *can* void your warranty but most likely won't. At least I haven't heard of anyone's warranty being voided because of those "mods"...

thanks for the info...
So catbacks and K&N should be good... cool. And the electric fan will be good be good for regaining lost horsepower and gas mileage. I wasn't planning on doing anything to the blower pulleys when I get the truck so that's not a problem...
Any other suggestions? And do any of those mods require reprogramming of the stock comp.? (I know that was probably a dumb question, but the fool who doesn't ask will always be a fool
Thanks again,
Drew
