I am thinking about gettin a 1999 Lightning. I kno that the 99-00 have leaky intercoolers and the warranty would be up, but did they recall that? If not they should have. Another quesiton is ... how much do you think i could get a 99 for? Somethin with probly under 30,000 miles ... and last question (i hate to bore yall ) but, how much do you think it would cost for racing stripes to be painted? Over the bed cover as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes they recalled it but the recall is now over. If it wasn't done then it's prob too late. Where are you located?

 

As posted, the recall has passed. You can find 99-00 Lightnings in the 18-22k range depending on condition. Low mileage trucks may be a bit more. As far as the stripes, body work is an area that 'you pay for what you get.' Shop around and find the best bodyshop in your area, and make sure to check out a few projects that they have done. hey thanks for responding. I live in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, right next to Worcester, about 40 minutes from Boston. I cant find a 99 with low mileage at a good price really anywehre. And i dont want to buy one with like 70K on it cuz the chances are it was drivin year round and someone beat on it ... so its hard to find one you know? And that sucks that the recall is up, but wouldnt anyone who owned one have that done? Youd have to be stupid to not ? thanks
