From: Colorado,
air bags

Need to level up my L for some towing work.

I have seen posts on towing and even suggested bags on occasion.
I use Air lift bags on a 4x4 I have and figured I would just go to camping world and pic up another set.

That is when I realized our trucks are lower than stock and the 7" required space just isn't there.

I was buying a new trailer axle at a different place and saw they carried the firestone brand bags so asked if they made something to work on my truck.
The quoted me $275 plus $100 for install which I would do myslelf.
But $275 sounds way to high of a lift for my wallet to do an experiment.

Can anyone who has done this install on there truck and liked the results give me some details. I will gladly spend the money if it is a premo fit and finish.

Anyone tried Air Shocks. I haven't even heard of them in 20 years.

I hate to sacrifice the nice ride we have by using springs and having my butt up in the air all the time.
Thanks in advance
Greg

when i put my belltech 3\4 on i was worried about towing the boat, so i put a set of "AIR RIDE" bags on that i got mail order from "TRUCKIN", it was 150 or so, and i installed the shrader valves in the bed just below the tie downs, and got an air tank from murrays and filled the bags up whenever i towed, but that got to be a pain so i spring for the compressor, also nother 150 or so, about a year later and both have been great...

the bags installed very easy, one end under the u bolts and the other needs four holes drilled in the chassis...
