Power steering going Pssssh

when turning? Hard to write what it sounds like. Anybody have any idea? Although my 2kL only has 10k miles on her the 36 mo expires in 6wks, so I obviously want whatever is wrong fixed. Anybody have any ideas? Appreciate the help! Thanks!

does it only do it at start up? or maybe when your just turning it all the way? or does it do it all the time? is the fluid level ok? just trying to knock out all the obvious

I think what you're hearing is 'normal/common' to Fords or did it just start?

I'll check my Haynes manual tonight...............

Both mine have done it and all the ones I've driven do it. I thought there was something wrong when I first heard it too. As long as it's not a squeel or grinding noise, it is normal.

Mine does the same exact thing. I think it is normal. All my fliud levels are fine....
