Built Bottom End

I am wanting to pull my engine out, flip it over, and replace the internals with aftermarket pieces. I want to do this without taking the heads off. Is it possible to just swap the parts out without any type of further machining of the block? I know most of the time people will re-bore the cylinders out to clean them up a bit, but my truck only has about 400 miles on it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the info.

Heads must come off. Pistons and rods come out the top.

i believe you have to take the heads off to do it right, besides you want to replace the head studs with better ones. and besides you are correct you would probably want to hone the cylinders. also you will want to have the rotating mass balanced

Always machine the block, even if it's new. You don't want to take a chance of having poor ring seal, causing blow-by.
