Bed cover

My L has a hard fiberglass bed cover, Its pretty heavy. What difference will it make at the track if I take the bed cover, spare tire and rear tailgate off?

depends on what kinda of slicks and traction you can get.

I personally take it all off cause my truck hooks up great with my setup.

I take about 600 pounds off my truck from street form to racing form.

light weight slicks and front runners, remove the stereo with 5 10 nch subs from behind the seat, remove tailgate, remove bed cover, remove the passenger seat, remove front sway bar for weight tranfer and some weight.

It make a pretty good difference cause my truck is so heavy. 5250 with my in it for street form, thats with a 1/4 tank of gas too.

With that setup you would be fine shedding some weight in the rear and still hook. Go for it and I think you'll see some ET improvements with the reduced weight.
