Tranny experts please step into my office!

Whats up guys. On my racing program my tranny has slipped twice now in the last three weeks. Only on the race side of the chip though. I don't have a shift kit in it yet, and plan on putting one in this weekend.

Will this help the tranny from slipping?

Dunno if it would help the tranny slippage but it is a general consensus that one should firm up the shifts mechanically (shift kit) rather than raising the line pressure via chip, which I'm assuming you're doing...

How would I know if it is the torque converter? I didn't even know they could break.

Now that you say that, it has me thinking......

Not saying it's "broken" but it can/will unlock/lock sometimes. It feels like it's downshifting/upshifting. The chip may need to be ruburned. I had to have that done at least twice.

It has only done it twice. Both times after I ran it really hard and both times when I was coming from overdrive into third gear going around 35-40 mph. When it shifted into third it revved for a second and then caught gear.

Hope this discription helps out. I really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Griffin
