scuff them the best you can with the wire brush, then use laquer thinner to remove some of the slickness of the coating. The paint will stick...just dont do heavy coats

 

I was thinking about painting my calipers this weekend or the next. My L is black and I was thinking about doing them in red.

What color really complements Black with Chrome wheels and chrome accents?

 

red all the way. that is what i'm gonna do because i think it looks pretty good with the stock silver wheels...

 

in black... easier to keep clean and I love that stealthy look..

 

Id go red if my truck was black

If you buy a paint kit like 'Eastwoods' which I have - you HAVE to put all four wheels up on stands because ... the kit has a hardener and just before you paint you mix the color and hardener together - then you only have about 4 hours to get it all done before the paint turns to cement -

Now if you are gonna spray that's different -

Cyn if you are gonna do red and you want to spray them let me know I have a brand new VHT red spray kit contains two cans each I think - you can have FOR ZERO dollars just pay the shipping - only for you though Bro...???
