I have a 2002 L if i buy a chip from a guy with a 2001 will it work if reburned.?? I know this is a newb question but i just started getting enough income to buy mods.

I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. Though you'd definetly would need a re-burn. Don't think the chips are different, just the programs.

 

don't think theres any issue there I know that there is a differance from 2000 to 2001.

Depending on the chip brand and who you are going with for the reburn (or if it includes one?) I'd look into the cost of a reburn before purchasing. I know some vendors are asking triple digits for just a reburn.

 

YES any chip from 99 will work with a reburn probally even earlier than that like 97 up....Keep in mind however,depending on the TYPE of chip.Only certain tuners will be able to tune certain chips.If Im not mistaken...

It will work. make shure you tell Jim to not make your shifts to harsh and leave some tq reduction on. Dont forget to tell him about the 2lb pulley. I will help you put it in one day when you get it and we can do the pulley then to. I got my metco today. gonna put em on tommorow. I ordered me some 555r nittos also. Ill be ready for mr trans am this time spray or not.
