Is the Snap-on socket really worth the $$$?
There's an easier way that makes changing plugs so much easier guys. Go out and buy yourself just some normal extensions, nothing to crazy, but make sure the swivels are good ones.
What I do is take 1 layer of duct tape and tape each part together so that never happens, and it also make the extensions a little more stiff to angle it in the hole better. I've never had the sockets come out and I got about 3 foot of extension total and I can just sit in a normal nice upright position pulling my plugs out. Its not like your going to trq your plugs down to 100 pounds where you need really high strength tools, there spark plugs.
I wouldn't buy, but I also have a set of tools set aside just for pulling plugs that fit everything perfect.

Couldn't you just use a regular spark plug socket and a 3" extension, then JB Weld them together. Much cheaper than a $52.00 socket.

That would make your tool box look like ****.
I jb welded my 3 inch extention onto my socket and when I went to the tool box show last week I lost points for the way it made my tool box look bad

The first time I changed my plugs, it took about 2 hours, the second time it took closer to 4. The extra time was spent trying to get the socket off the Plug in the back cylinder when it disconeccted from the extention, I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN STAN
I actually now use a Combo Socket and Extention with wobbly built into it from Auto Zone, cheap as hell and does the trick without the risk of the extention pulling out AGAIN
Another reason to buy Craftsman and/or
shop at Sears. Many of Reserve & Guard called up for service are suffering because of pay & benefits not equal to those on their regular job! Sears picks up the differential for their called up employees. I'M NOT CONNECTED TO SEARS, IN ANY WAY! Thought you guys, oops and girls, too would like to know.
oops, I forgot
Make sure to let mgr. know that this influences your shopping decision and you appreciate their doing so! That said, I rarely go to Sears, but now will definitely give them a try for anything, as long as prices are at least "close" to other outlets.

make sure that it has the rubber boot inside it that grabs the plug after it is unscrewed.... i couldn't imagine trying to dig the plug out of there....
i held up my plug change for that exact reason - heard way too many stories of people trying to get plugs out of there once they were unscrewed.
