Silver,

I've heard of the dreaded drip, and know of many that had it.
I could see that rusting it out, but how does it strip the plug head to the point a smaller socket is needed to even grab it ???

And if the leak does eat it up enough to make it un-removable
(AND IT'S ANOTHER KNOWN FORD PROBLEM, WHICH IT IS)
I'd say SCHITT YA get a lawyer Bad AZZ.

If your like me you may take a differant approach.
Just get even another way

Every time I give examples people get mad at me, and call me Bad Names , SO I WON'T
Use your imagination,

BADAZZ,
Make the best of a bad situation
Get Heli-Coils or Inserts along with the new style Head Gasket.
Just think, you'll have one strong *** motor without the worry's when your done. I feel for you Bro, hang in there, and get it taken care off, better days are coming.

You said you're from NC. Give True Blue a call. They're big in Mod motors.

Rob02,
When I took my stock plugs out at 2500 miles I had a heck of a time getting a spark-plug socket on to that plug. I finally had to use a standard deep socket to get it out. I figured that was what he meant by smaller socket. Mine was corroded very bad. Add to that his 30k vs my 2500 and the fact he is in the great salt air of Hawaii, I would say it is possible for it to corrode that bad. Anti-Freeze can be very corrosive. If the plug twisted off at the threads, that is the thinest point in the metal. Very probable. Very tough to prove to a dealer that the owner didn't do something wrong. There are ways to remove it without drilling. The problem is access. There is no way possible to get directly over the hole with the motor in the truck. Far easier to pull that head than pull the motor.

Sliver,
Ok I understand what your saying now, THANKS BRO
Your scaring me though, What Cylinder is that water problem in ??? I really need to check mine soon, they've been in 5K now.

Unfortunatly BADAZZ trying to blame Ford for that one will be useless unless it was them that snapped it off. That plain old sucks, especially when you know it PROBABLY has to do with that leak.

You could always use my "Just Get Even Theory"

ok ok I'll be good and shut up

Rob- What's this 'Just get even' theory of yours

JW- Who is true blue? Haven't heard of them.

I'm picking up a new engine for my 94 GT Vert so I can drive that while I pull the L apart. Hmmmm anybody know if those 3 valve heads are out yet

Randy Hayewood owns the shop. It's called True Blue Performance. go to www.trueblueperformance.com

They're big in mod motors. Randy has been on several covers of magazines. Just open up a MM&FF and read some of the feature cars and you'll sometimes see a True Blue built motor.

If T.B.'s booked up or can't help you quick enough, call here (919)989-9377. That # is for FastLane Motorsports. They sale lots of parts and are beside T.B.

Fastlane put pulley(after I broke stock one taking off) on my truck and can do most work and he's cheaper than T.B.
