Question about Chip and Engine's Redline
Once I had the shift point moved back down to 5250 RPM, and I hated it, Sent it right back the same day to be put back up to 5500. But like I say it's the RPM after the shift that I'm more concerned with. And yes, sometimes depending on How you WOT it (from stop) (from roll) (from downshifting it) etc...
Mine will shift as high as 5600/5700.
Twice now (did it again the other night) when I switch from one program to another program (on the fly) it seems to "not have any shift point OR REV LIMITER for a minute", and it will pin the tach before shifting
After a few times of that, it goes back to normal, it's done that differant times with differant Programs from differant tuners.
I call it stretching and testing the Rod's
I got me a good set no doubt

when I put my ET streets on...26 inches tall, the computer reads
the speedo sensor which is thrown up by the shorter tires and
causes the tranny to shift about 400 rpms earlier.
...the result, truck ran the same with ET streets as it did with
the Nittos 28.5 inches shifting at 5350.
So actually my truck had better hook, more gear, 100 lbs less
weight(skinnies on front also) and ran the same b/c the tranny
was short shifting the truck.
....so quit bull*****t!ng, and get Nittos and you'll run 12s all day.
My truck has basically the same stuff as yours will have and runs
12.68@107 with 1.81-1.87 60fts. on a 70* day at sea level.
Goodluck...
