i had a gen 1 put 130,000 hard miles on it
the only work ever done on it was when did a hel| of burnout a did a # on the rear end

Just woundering how these blown motors are goin to hold up

 

I have seen a couple on Ebay.

Not there yet, only 83000 here

 

The Gen2's definitely have a beefier rear than the Gen1. I think the Gen1 motor is more bullet proof though...until you start added more than 8psi of boost and the head gaskets go.

 

When i get to 30,000 miles in about 3-4 years im getting a built motor and tranny. im at 12,000 and ive had it a year and a half.

 

My truck Suavy has 93,000. on it.

and i was stressing cause my truck just turned over to 33,000

72,000 miles still running good...

 

I was pretty optimistic when my '99 was at 78,000 miles. I had no problems other than the IC recall. 600 miles later I was on the side of the road with a blown plug.

damn my 99 is right at 42 K almost.

 

 

WantALight, you must have lapped your little island several times to accumulate such mileage. And with the roads sucking like they do down there, probably not lapping very quickly either.

 

the local oil change guy has 1400 miles on his 02.
