Opinions on pulleys

Well I think its about time to take that step toward the 12's! Today is my birthday and there is some money rolling in so I thought what better way to spend it than to get a new pulley. Whats your opinions on the best pulley, I'm thinking 2 or 4 pounder but I don't know what company to go with. Whats the difference between a regular pulley and an interchangeable like the one lightning force performance sells? And will ford really be able to tell that the pulley is different? I can't really take it off every time I need to go in for service.

I thought a chip was the big concern when making a trip to the dealer. They can find that (or evidence of it) real easily. I'd say since you've got that already then go for the pulley.

When I was shopping around, I went with a 4 lber because I didnt want to spend the money on a 2 and then upgrade to a 4. And I didnt want the 6 because I thought that would be to dangerous with all these plugs and rods going. So I went in the middle and got the 4. Very happy with and yes, it does look different then stock so if someone is peeking around your motor, they'll notice the difference.

I go in for service tomorrow and I removed my chip and pulley just to cover my a$$. Had the pulley off and stock one back on in about an hour. And thats probably slow compared to some folk on here.

And make some calls to the vendors and see which one rubs you the right way when you make the decision to purchase.

I would recommend the four if the choice is two or four.

I went with the Metco 4/6 interchangeable, but I just run the 6 all the time. It is warmer where I live. If I lived in some of the colder climates, I would switch to the 4 during the winter to be safe.

I run a 4lb lower and a 2lb quick change interchanable Upper.

I run 6lbs in the warm months, and 4lbs in the colder months.

The best of both worlds
