Lightbulb Why isn’t Ford getting in on this???

I was sitting here thinking why Ford doesn’t have an authorized tuner to produce pulleys and recalibrate computers for our trucks so they can still be under warranty? What do you guy’s think??? Ford would make some extra money and we could go faster…. I’m sure it’s an emissions issue….

It's not Ford's place too. Too many warrenty issues involved in that. Just like the Saleen and Roush Mustangs... They are built by Ford, but carry two differant warrenties on them.

Emissions would have little to do with it. On the EPA emissions cycle, the engine does not typically go into WOT.

I believe that Ford has already wrung all of the safe HP it can out of the engine. Just think, they did a whole new MAF/intake just to get 20 HP. Wouldn't it have been simpler to just mess around with fuel and timing?

IMHO, the only truly "safe" tune is the stock tune. Others may work, but with the potential for reliability issues.
