Post Cecil Really Hooks

I raced my '00 Lightning @ Cecil County dragway this past Sat, and all I can say is what a track! They do a great job prepping the burnout and launch area. It was worth the hour and a half drive to get there. My truck put down a new all time best with a 11.841 @ 113.90 MPH. Stock blower, no juice, and a lot of bolt ons. Jim (JDM) gave me a custom tune at the track and the truck responded well, thanks Jim. Only one problem, after running 3 consecutive 11's, a track official hunted me down and told me to slow down or get a cage. I guess a cage is my next mod, when will it ever end? Also spoke with Johnny Lightning for the 1st time, and was happy to meet him, a really great guy,I use his powercooler and newest ram air setup, they both do a nice job. Until I get a cage installed, I'm gonna have to run on the F1's, and go slow, ugh. Thanks to all the great people that showed up @ Cecil and made it a real blast, John H.

Hey John, it was nice to finally meet ya. Your right about Cecil, well worth the drive. I tried my damnest, to get warned, but couldn't make it happen.
Been in the garage all day putting "Lucille" on a diet I'll try to make those officials warn me on the 12th
It sure was fun driving 2 hrs, racing and getting a new best time and then driving home. Thanks to Jim @ JDM I ran a 12.07@ 112.27.....Yeah Baby.
I might have also set a new best time from Cecil to Linden too

I had a 1.67 60ft. Stock converter, 28x10 slicks and Cal-tracks.

those interiors are so nice, can you flip up the middle bench/armrest (for those intimate drives w/the lady friend) ??? is it cloth or suede/prada?

Yes, it's a 'safety' thing--required by most tracks when you get to 11.999 or quicker.

The console does flip for a third 'seat' below it. The black is leather(inserts) and the gray is a suede-like fabric--altarra(sp), I think and that interior is stock.

Congrats Johnny

AWESOME ET

And that is sooooooo great to hear Cecil hooks good.

Because unlike Gator I will be driving probably 5 hours one way to get there April 12th, juicing it, and driving it 5 hours home the same day.

Map Quest shows this

Total Distance: 215.39 miles
Total Estimated Time: 3 hours, 44 minutes
YA RIGHT
For me to get from the end of Long Island to the GW Bridge will take dam near 2 hours alone ""with light traffic""
Plus I'm gonna stop in NJ and follow V the whole way.
Do you think I should get an extra Bottle of Nitrous so I can Juice V anytime he pulls up next to me "the whole way down", I can maybe bring a Video Camera and get it on tape time after time

It's gonna be a long day,
BUT WELL WORTH IT TO MEET YOU MANIAC'S

Don't you guys even think of having the longest commute....There was a couple of people from Columbus, Ohio in for this event. And it wasn't even a "major" event.
