rickgig, my bad that I was not

specific enough. Only 1 track even on ceramic pads? do you engage in frequent aggressive street driving? How many miles did first set of ceramics last. Was that set used in track event? Brake dust, more or less than stock? My apologies for not being specific enough. Thanks for a response!

My first set went on around 9,000 miles so you could say I got 27k on them... I had plenty of brake pad left but since my rotors were toasted and cracked... I replaced everything: rotors, bearings and pads. The pads had a lifetime warranty so why not?

Been three days since I washed it and drove quite a bit.... looks good and no dust!!!

The track event started the rotor problem and over time it just got worse. Aggressive driving? Me… are you kidding? Of course I drive aggressive... actually I do have periods of sanity where I am not aggressive. These periods normally follow the issuance of a speeding ticket... I am currently undergoing therapy for this and hope it is cured soon (15mph over just this past week).

Rickgig, therapy won't help you!

However, the police and your wallet seem to slow you down some! Thanks for response and encouragement about pads lasting & reduced dusting. The dumbass that I am, I remembered more questions. 1. reduced dust, do you a tire dressing that can sling a little crap on wheels? Affects pads "dusting"? Did you do only front rotors & pads, or rear, too? Use antisqueal shims? Do they squeal? You are blessed--this is my last post on this thread! Many thanks for patient responses.

Yes indeed... I am blessed but not because this is your last post.

The tire dressing I use is not really meant to be tire dressing... I don't like shiny tires... I use Meguiars Quick Detailer Mist & Wipe... I use that stuff on the plastic parts on the exterior and under the hood... makes them look new and the same goes for the tires.

With a white truck... anything else has the tendency to sling off and get on the paint... not screwing anything up other than the wash job.

Rears are still the originals... working fine... plenty of pad left.

No anti-squeal shims... I kept them just in case but I didn't use them the first time and don't think I'll need them this time (actually the pads come with a goop).

Hope this helps...

Final thanks rickgig, now go to work or something-ha!

Just noticed you live in Frisco,Tx. If my feeble memory serves me, that used to be a railroad town named for Frisco RR? MY Father, uncles, and 2 brothers worked years ago for Frisco in Kansas City, Mo. Gues with OEM rear system, you get more rear dust than front now. Really appreciate your responses.
