Help!

I brought my L in for a tranny problem and picked it up 2 days later...yeah 2 days later.

While in service they BROKE my rear leaf springs and blew both of my sub woofers.

I have the fiberglass rear leaf springs and a very nice and expensive, show quality audiobahn sub system with 2000 watts of power and 2 audiobahn alum 12 subs that can handle 500 watts each. I believe that you should have more power then you need so that you can play your system at 50% and have it sound INCREDIBLE and never have to drive the amp to any distortion.

So i called them and asked what they did to my truck while in servcie and they said nothing and i told them what happened and that i needed to speak to a mgr.

Mgr calls, i tell him everything he said leme talk to some people and ill call you back. He also asked how much the damage cost and i said around $2500.

He called back and said that only one person drove it and that nothing happened....but that i am a valued customer and that he would fix everything if i agreed to give him a perfect rating on the service survey.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!!!!!! that screams GUILTY. what should i do. the problem is that they abused my truck while in their care. who knows what they did, i KNOW the dogged the crap out of and that just PISSES ME OFF!!!

What should i do?

I would freak out! No wait, I would go completely berserk. I would call Ford Quality Care and really push the issue. You bet they would pay to have it fixed but it wouldnt go without the dealer getting slammed hard for some techs mischeivous behavior.

You should consider yourself lucky that they are willing to fix it without much a fuss. Take them up on the offer and get it fixed, and then let it go.

Something similar happened to me when I had my '99 in for service once. I walked out to pick it up, and there was tire rubber caked in the wheel wells and right behind the tires... they looked worse than any trip I ever had to the drag strip. The tires were definitely worn, and they were even sticky... so it was freshly done. I went right back in and demanded new tires... that was the least they could do to make me somewhat happy. Those idiots said they didn't do it... B.S. I had the owner out there and still nothing. They offered me $100 in free service - that was it. I declined, and raised the issue with Ford. I made several complaints about the dealer, and had a local news crew investigating. Coincidently, the managers were all let go within six months... those snakes.
Now, I couldn't be happier with the service at my current dealer. They take excellent care of me!

Glass springs are REALLY light, like 8 lbs a piece. saves like 80 lbs or so.
