Hmm, looks promising, but it looks to late when you compare it to what REM, PSP and JLP has to offer.

I agree it's kinda late **** but it's only 300 bucks and includes the power tube. Isnt REM the only one out there offering a power tube with their setup?

Its seperate. REM doesnt have any sort of forced fed air setup like PSP or JLP. That elbow doesnt make power anyhow. The only thing i dont like is that its sealed. So your at the mercy of how much air that box can suck it.

I've read a lot of posts about this topic... I would think a sealed box is the only way to actually have a "Cold Air Intake". The other products that have open sides on the box are just sucking hot air from the engine compartment right? Doesnt that defeat the whole purpose?

They only suck hot air at idle. When you hook an autotap up running either Sals or Johhny's system, your air temp immediately drops to ambient when on the move.

Having a sealed box puts you at the mercy of the box design itself.

Junk!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overpriced junk, that's exactly what it is. No advantage over stock with the K&N filter and I'll put money on that one.

REM has several different kits. Filter kit, smooth tube, and the full intake from filter to TB, which is what I have.

Once you get past 15-20 mph anyway, you're getting cool air going through the engine compartment from the grills, body gaps, etc...

I'm really happy with mine.

Those boxes might mute the awesome blower whine anyway

Actually, our FASTair induction system does not suck much hot underhood air. Testing has shown over a 30 degree drop in IAT temps sitting at idle from a regular open filter kit to the same filter kit with the FASTair upgrade. And once the truck starts moving, IAT temps dropped to ambient within 5 seconds.

Oh, and as far as smooth intake tubes go, well, all I can say right now, is just wait a tad longer .

Always got something up your sleeve Sal! Can't wait. Also, any news on the new Throttle Body you mentioned in a thread awhile ago? Keep up the good work!

Volant looks like a morphed stock airbox. Like others said I bet it cant take in enough air.
