Cool Spring is back, and so is the Lightning

What a way to welcome spring back to the world, I drove my truck home last night.

The new cams really wake the motor up, and the roll bar is a lot quieter then I thought it would be. It only makes noise on the biggest worst potholed roads.

I am going to give it a quick wash today, and then a majot detailing job this weekend, it sat outside most of the winter and is filthy. Next week I am going to put the new seats and console in.

I have to put some miles on the truck, and in 2-3 weeks I am putting the new twin screw on and getting a real tune done to it. Right now I have a mellow 12 degree chip in the truck, but I do have a Huge 8# lower pulley.

I have a feeling it is going to be a fun season, and hope to make it to a few events this year.

Glad you got your truck back and you are happy. That baby is gonna rip with the new blower. I will make a trip to NH just to see that baby run for sure. Glad you are happy! I want a motor now. -Mat-

Cool man...

When Gator posted that somebody made swiss cheese out of their block, and that you were at the track I thought it was you. Good luck and good numbers with it.

Glad you got your truck back! Wait until you get that new blower on...it will be a whole different beast. You can't comprehend the difference until you drive it on the street.

Don, I had Chinese grits for lunch today. My fortune cookie said, "Don has 10s in his future !" I did not know what that meant until I just read your post.

Btw, full sunshine here with the temp in the low 70s

What a great day.

I washed her this morning, she is allready a mess. At least it is fresh dirt.

I did a Tellimecca and took a ride, it was so nice out(67 degrees) I decided not to head right home. Well 100 miles later I finally made it home.

I actually did get a lot done. I stoped at Sears got a set of little files, and tweeked the holes in the lexan window. I also went to the registry and renewed my registration, it had expired last month.

Marc you will see me at FFW in Richmond

LIGHTNINROD I sure hope so, and thats the plan.

yysenhimer no swiss cheese for me, she is running awesome

Matt I will see you at the track

Cliff thanks bud, I wish the best for you this season.

Gator, yep allmost racing season, I didn't race anyone today.
It is amazing the looks I get with the roll bar sticking out the rear window. About 15 punks tried to egg me into a little race. I just gave them a little taste of the long tubes and Magnaflows waved, and kept on cruising.

I was just in to good of a mood to race anyone.

Our home track opens in something like 13 days and I can't wait to get there racing with you.

Thumbs up Congratulations Don :-)

Hi Don… Glad to hear that you are back on the road. The 8 lb pulley must be awesome with the JDM built engine. Sounds like you will have a ten second truck with the Kenne Bell blower Should be a great season - looking forward to meeting everyone. Hey - New England dragway opens in twelve days :-)

Talking about meeting everyone - I hope that Whip and everyone overseas fighting for our freedom and the liberation of the Iraq people are doing well, you guys have my utmost respect and thanks. Watching FOX news and it looks like the people outside of Baghdad are happy to be liberated from the brutal dictatorship. Take care and come home soon

See you,

Steve
