If you don't drain the converter you are probably gonna need about 7-8 quarts of fluid. You can get a filter at any auto parts store or a local trans shop. Your pan gasket is reusable.

That is a nice sunroof you have. How much does something like that cost>??? Thanks, -Mat-

I installed the FT VB about a month ago. I didn't drain the converter and put the stock pan back on. I put in exactly 6 quarts. I would buy 7 just in case. It's kind of hard to tell right after adding the fluid where the level is. I took mine out for a nice drive, checked it again then rechecked it the next day. You will not be able to get the grin off your face after you first test drive

CLEARANCE PROBLEMS?

Clonetek posted this (not very pretty) pic about a month ago...

4x4 tranny pan on a lowered truck. Personally I'm not lowered and I have the 4x4 pan, I still go easy over speed bumps and railroad crossings after seeing how much it sticks down and after seeing that pic
I also did not punch a hole in my stock pan, so I have it just incase I want to go lower one day.
