How do my plugs look?

This is from the front on the pass side. I ran it stock up to 8,000 miles then have had a 4# w/no chip in it for the last 4,000 miles.

I'm dumb when it comes to the finer points of reading plugs. So... what do ya'll think?

Milk Chocolatey good.
I would change to a slightly colder plug just to be safe, just because the tip is alittle white.
Have you checked your AF #'s?

Looking at it again, it looks real white on the side facing down. Can you confirm that? or take a different pic.

What is a solid list of the tools needed for our trucks to check the plugs without big issues? What sockets, sizes, & so on. Im gonna do it when I finish the P.I.T.A. guage install & just want to check my tool list and add anything you guys think I should have, but that I am not currently in posession of. Thanx

7mm socket
swivel
3", 6", 10" extensions

3/8" drive
spark plug socket
swivel
3", 2-6", 10" extensions

If your being serious about the boost gauge being a pain maybe you don't even want to attempt a plug change.

No, the boost guage is a sinch, its the water temp that really sux, and the A?F bit the big one as far as tapping into the 02 line under the truck...just a ton of wires, takes patience...which I tend to lack.. Thanx for the heads up on tools for plugs...Ill make sure Im fully stocked

Well in that case you might want to pick up an extendable magnet, some dielectric grease (don't use a lot), and some antisieze.

Verdict is still out on wether or not to use antisieze

As LIGHTNINROD, Joe and the Link he send you said,
LOOKING GOOD

YOUR PLUGS LOOK SAFELY RICH
Very interesting to see them so dark
with a 4lb Pulley and no Chip,
you answered alot of questions for many of us, Thanks Wydopnthrtl.

Here's mine with a chip and 6lbs

Stock (Not bad but could be colder)

TR-6's (same tune) (they're clearly not cold enough)
"Stock ran colder than TR-6's"

And here's what happens with a clogged Fuel Filter

YOU ARE BETTER AND RICHER THAN ALL THESE
YOU COOL.......

Rob did you "swiss cheese" your block at all when you had a bad fuel filter or just muck up some plugs??

Thanks alot for the replys. Since I found out I've had a 4# I've been a bit worried about them.

I will pull the rest of them today and change over to TR6s for my dyno tune coming next week. Also, I'll snap some pics and add them to this post *if* any of the others look much different than the two I pulled so far.

And YES! They are slightly white in the other side. Just a little crecent though. That means lean huh.....?

BTW: I really do drive like grandpa most of the time so these "fat" looking plugs may not represent the avg. L 4# w/no chip?

Thanks guys, WOT (aka Rich)

Cool

Rich,

Put it back in and live up to your namesake. Run it WOT as much as possible and shut it down. Pull the same plug let's see what it looks like. On the crusing end of things you look pig rich (that's dark chocolate not milk chocolate) but let's take a look at WOT.

P.S. Let it cooldown before you pull the plug.
