4.10's Are In!!!!

That's cruising at 75MPH at 2500RPM. If you went from 3.55 gears to 4.10's your rpms would of increased 550RPM, NOT 300 rpm. If this is what your tach is showing then your tach is out of calibration. Not that the factory tach's are accurate. Most of them are off by 300-500RPM during a WOT run.

Ps. Hankfan,
I hate to say it but.........I told you so!
1BADTK- Yeah I have to say you were right. The Gen 2's should have came with 4.10's from the factory!
owheelies- Yeah it's just a touch over a 300rpm increase in OD. I wouldn't even be able to notice the 300rpm increase at cruizing speed if my exhaust didn't get so much louder. To be honest I don't even notice the 4.10's while just cruizing around but at WOT or from a dead stop there is no doubt your running 4.10's. It almost feels like your running the juice full time!!!

Oh yea i race with the 28" tall hoosier slicks to. So what do you think i will be going through the traps at. I know it should help my et's drop. Best was 12.85 that was with bumper on to weighing 4800 and 3.55's. So i think with the less weight in the back and 4.10's with 28" tall hoosier slicks will help me drop them. The 3'55's are killing me at top end
. What do you guys think?

I am running 26-11.5-16 et streets with the 3.55's. i just bought 4.10's dose anybody think i will be running out of gear w/ the 26 inch tall et streets and the 4.10's. so far my best et is 12.9@104. dose anyone think i would go slower w/ the 26's and the 4.10's

I think the 4.10 gear is an excellent idea. I would expect your et will drop a couple of tenths in the quarter.

to give an idea, i have the 3.73 gears, and was running a 28" tall slick on a 15" wheel
i switched to a 26" et drag which effectively gave more gear and i expected better et's, and i noticed no gain,
if he hooks up, he may see .1, you gotta remember, these trucks make torque down low, so the truck pulls good at low rpms,

28" Hooiser's.
