Never could get my ramps to stay in place while trying to drive up on them. Read a post here suggesting mats with rubber backing placed under the Rhino Ramps. Finally decided to give it a try instead of wedging myself underneath the L on this oil change. Worked like a charm. Rubber backed mats and Rhino Ramps make it a pleasure under the front now.

Yours didn't come with the rubber bumpers in the front of them?

on very smooth concrete (like what i have in my garage & driveway) the rhino ramps will just slide.. i gave my rhino ramps away to a friend & use a jack & jack stands now..

 

The true fix would be a jack, I personally don't want to worry about weather or not these things are going to slip out from under me or not when I drive onto them.

 

I never have trouble with my rhino ramps. they work great and I got smooth concrete in my garage.

 

i had problems also, painted garage floor, the problem isnt when the truck is all the way up on the flat part, its when on the incline, one or both will want to slide, and mine do have a 2 inch by 2 inch square of rubber at the front, on the driveway it is fine, but on the garage floor, no go....

 

Thats beacuse youre always in a hurry

Guys... go to Wal-Mart and go to the throw rug department... they got these really cheap rugs made of rubber... place it under you ramps and you're all set... I've got a smooth finished floor and had the same trouble... the mats, normally used for outdoor mats... are perfect!!

 

Have not had a problem with mine on asphalt...

My problem was I painted my garage floor, and even with the rubber grips that come with them, one or the other would slide just enough to screw it up. Mats. Fix. Easy and cheap. And when your up on the ramps, you get plenty of room to mess around underneath, and you dont have to mess with jacking one side up,
putting stand in, then repeating on the other.

Hey, 5ooth post. Dont think I wanted it to be about Rhino Ramps. Maybe I will mention short block and KB unit since my warranty is about up anyway.
Oh yeah, BaBolt TB, Long Tubes, 2#er, 90mm, JL ram air, traction bars, three chips and Nitto 305 DR's on the way with the block and KB.
