I took my truck to the dealership so they could diagnose the rough idle. I was thinking a bad injector/coil. They hooked it up to the computer and found that #7 cylinder was dead. They then did a compression test and found ZERO compression. They called me at work and gave me the bad news and told me to stop by after I got off to get my loaner from them. The lady at the service counter assured me that this would be covered under warrenty even though I had a chip and #2 upper pulley. When I got there they gave me a 2003 Focus as a loaner and she again assured me this would be covered under warrenty. She even gave me loaner WITHOUT my drivers liscense on me. I actually started to think that these guys weren't such a$$holes. Well, I got a phone call from this nice lady telling me they were not going to honor my warrenty. I was totally pi$$ed I talked to the service manager on what they would do next and he said they would R&R the drivers side head to further diagnose. He quoted me over $800 dollars to pull the head. At that point I was furious. I told him that I would have to think about it overnight. I just didn't wanna sit there anymore. I am stumped at this point. I am thinking about telling them that I want my truck back tomorrow. Could anyone here give me some advice on what I should?? Does anyone got the number where I could get a built long block from?? Thanks in advance.
