Question Whine sound while driving (not the supercharger)

I had my truck in hybernation for a few months. I just installed gregs kick a$$ VB and the new FMS deep tranny pan. I went out for a test drive to see how it was and finally drive the L again. Took it up the rod and i heared a whining sound, from what seeed to be the rear. I was thinking gear whine but I am not sure. I put it in N while I was driving and still heard it. My rear tires are low on air too so hopefully thats all it is. Anyone ever have this oblem?

I had the same problem, it was the rear diff. I went ahead and bought 3:73s took it to the dealer, under warranty, talked to the mechanic gave him $100 under the table he installed the gears, and did a complete ovehaul, problem solved.

Its possible you have some air in your VB from install, and it just needs to work itself out. Otherwise I would say a visit to your local tuner may be in your future. Whatever you do, don't go to the dealership, they may say you need a new motor.

Make sure your rear tires have exactly the same PSI(32 psi--cold). Of course, the fronts should be at 32 psa--cold too but your 'whine' may be from the uneven pressure in the differential if the rears are grossly different in psi???

It might be a rear wheel bearing too???
