Plugging driver's side draft tube
Plugging driver's side draft tube
OK, who is using an aftermarket oil breather cap and just simply plugging the draft tube on the driver's side? Is it working for you? problems? Did it solve oil in the throttle body contamination? Has it caused oil in your air filter? Any potential dangers to the engine doing this? I've seen many posts on the subject and am still kinda confused with it. Anyone trying this method i'd appreciate feedback/advice.
I've run a breather on the driver's side for three years and on two different Lightnings (99 and current 01), chipped and unchipped. First 'mod' done to the 01. Never had an issue or a check engine light on either truck.
Just make sure you plug the boot from the MAF to the Throttle body.

I was talking about running a breather cap on the passenger side (in place of the stock oil cap) and plugging the draft line on the passenger side to the boot. What type of breather are you using for the driver's side and you are talking about plugging the hole in the boot where the draft line used to be right?
John,
Sorry for the mix up..
Here's what I run on the driver's side. Sorry for the large image
JMHO, I'm not a fan of the passenger side oil breather cap. Had one for approx six months, removed it, and went with a seperator mod instead.
