That just fricken sucks! Dude, sorry to hear about this crap. probably tottaly uncalled for! put a baseball bat, ball and glove in your truck. The bat is for kicken a$$, the ball and glove are the "reasons" you had it in your car when the cops come!

Unfortunately you're right. They key your vehicle and get their hands slapped and you attack them and get thrown in the slammer for assault. It sucks, but that's the way the law works. The only time you can legally hit some one is if you are being personally attacked. You did the right thing in calling the cops. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like they were able to offer much help. Good luck in getting your truck fixed and hopefully the ******* who keyed your truck gets caught.

 

man, that guy really took some time and effort to mess up your truck.... most will just take the key and slide it along the side as they walk, but this guy like took aggression out or something, loops and everything, he's got issues...

 

I'm probably wrong about this, but I remember in a law class I took that you have the right to defend property. Now whether or not you could "attack" the guy is questionable, but i would think that if you were to step in, in defense of your propety and the guy assulted you (by definition I think assult refers to being threatend, battery is physical contact) then you could probably fight back.

I AM NO LAWYER THOUGH AND HAVE NO LEGAL BACKGROUND SO I AM JUST GUESSING HERE.

 

That is one bad *** scratch . People who are gealous like that should be brought to the nearest hanging tree. It is a good thing I always have friends with me, If in the event that happened to me there is not much I could do. The lightest friend I have I think is 170 and Jay is probily the heavyest weightning in at about 320 ish I would guess.
If it happened to me the poor bastage would suffer Texas Justice or be killed or if Jay got to him maybe crushed. .
