I use Mobil 1 synthetic in two of my vehicles and I normally purchased it from WalMart in the 5QT containers. I have not come across the 5 qt containers in some time now. Does anyone know if Mobil 1 quit making these?? Does anyone know of another store that stocked these. Looks like I will be buying it by the quart now.

When i put my L up for the winter in november, they still had gallons.
Maybe they discontinued them.

late last year, Wal Mart was selling the 5qt Mobile 1 for 18.95. i bought enough for my 99 and 03, until the 05 arrives

 

$23 at costco for a 6 pack(costco is like a Sams club,membership warehouse)

 

I talked to a Wal-Mart store manager about why they randomly had Mobil-1 in 5-qt containers and when they would have them next.

He told me that Wal-Mart works out a deal with Mobil and buys XXX number of 5-qt containers. After they are gone you have to wait until they do a deal again. I haven't seen a 5-qt Mobil 1 container anywhere else, so I assume this is true.

I see them come around about every 6-months. I suggest stocking up.
